[ presumably when lissa returns, there is much hugging and friendship times. she will hug faye whether faye likes it or not. but now the us just hanging out in lissa's room reading magazines and watching television because lissa totally bought one for herself and set it up on her dresser. she's sort of nocturnal, okay, not a lot of her friends are awake when she is. especially in the summer when her delicate skin can't deal with the bright, oppressive sunshine. england is not a foggy as it should be. ]
I hope so. [ not that lissa needs an anthem for being single as she... is probably not. but it's a very catchy song. ] That's going to be an enormous divorce settlement.
[ she almost doesn't catch it (wis 14), but she does and she raises her eyebrows at faye. volunteers are few and far between and it's... dangerous with max. (which is part of the thrill, tbh.) lissa tends to stick to the prepackaged sort.
but that doesn't mean... she doesn't miss the real deal.
her jade eyes cloud with uncertainty and her lips purse briefly as she thinks before slowly nodding. ] I am.
[Theres a silence that stretches between them. Faye's not afraid to ask for what she wants, but this one is a little different, isn't it?]
You know I trust you, right?
[It's said quietly, like a secret. Faye doesn't trust many people. She can probably count on one hand the number of people she could ever imagine trusting like this.]
Yes, of course. [ there is a hint of disbelief in lissa's tone. of course she knows faye trusts her, just as much as lissa trusts faye. this is the one person who vehemently stands up to rose on her behalf.
she scoots over a little more, lifting her hand to brush faye's dark hair back from her throat. when her eyes lift to faye's they're darker and there is an unmistakable hunger there. ] Are you sure?
[ lissa doesn't hesitate a second time, ducking her head and sinking her teeth into the soft curve of faye's neck. she's quick and practiced so it barely hurts for a second before the feelings of euphoria start. lissa isn't greedy, she doesn't feed for especially long. just a snack, a tidbit. especially since she can taste something different, another metallic flavor that isn't just the sharp iron of blood. it still tastes delicious though and when lissa finishes, she pulls back her fangs, delicately licking the blood from faye's skin, breathing hard. ]
[Faye gasps, a sharp inhale as the sharpened points of Lissa's teeth break through her skin. It's a small pain, almost entirely forgettable as the rush overtakes her. Arching her back and craning her head away to further encourage the vampire to feed, Faye rides it out, pleasure coursing through her. She has the strangest friendships, but this part of her interactions with Lissa are mutually beneficial. She's happy to help- especially when it feels like that.
It's over too soon for Faye's liking, but she never pushes for more. Lissa's got a careful control over it all, and she doesn't want to tempt her to indulge more than she feels she should. She doesn't want to ruin a good thing, basically. As the fangs pull from her neck, Faye can still feel her heartbeat thudding in her ears. Lissa's tongue is delicate against her skin and Faye practically purrs her approval.]
[ she pulls back slowly, eyes raking over faye's expression to make sure that she is okay before she lifts her hand and brushes her cool fingers against the bite on faye's throat to heal it. (cure light wounds +5 hp) ]
[ lissa just lets herself get smacked, gathering the pillow into her lap as she thinks about how to explain max without betraying his trust... ]
He's been a knight for... a while. [ like he's old as balls yo. ] He's a freelancer. He's very sweet, sort of a loner. But not in the bad way, he's not a snob, he just likes the quiet. He keeps people at a distance. [ ~except her. oh gross she looks so in love make it stop. ] He knows a lot about the history of the knights. [ i repeat: old as balls. ] Did I tell you that Benjamin Franklin was a knight. A Dragon's Claw!
Why are all of my friends into nerds? [But she just shakes her head and laughs.] Ben Franklin, huh? Well, unless he's the one taking you out, I don't really care.

Are you hungry?
[Sometimes Faye forgets that Lissa doesn't need to eat regular food?? Or maybe it's a thinly veiled request for a feel good touch. It's a toss up.]
